Ryan started dancing at Jazz Unlimited at the age of three, having trained in all styles. He is a former member of the Next Step program and the Ensemble, in which he spent many years performing on countless stages before graduating in 2013. After graduating from Jazz Unlimited, Ryan attended Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports, Arts, and Entertainment Management. Dance has always been Ryan’s true passion, and he feels so lucky and grateful to be an educator at his second home, Jazz Unlimited, where he shares his love of dance with younger generations. Ryan continuously challenges himself to grow as a choreographer, pushing the limits of what he can offer to his students. He continues to stay updated in the industry with judging competitions as well as performing, including being hand-selected for a closed professional tap workshop in New York City with tap icon Jared Grimes. He spent eight hours training at this workshop, and he received a full scholarship to DC Tap Fest from world-renowned tap icons and creators of the Syncopated Ladies tap group, Chloe and Maud Arnold. He also has been seen performing in the Philly Thanksgiving Day Parade as well as on stage as a featured tap dancer and choreographer in Flair Dance Company’s production “Cracked Nuts”. Ryan extends a huge thank you to Carryl and Fred for having such a significant impact on his life by offering a space for dancers to grow, excel, and share in the love of dance. There is nothing that brings him more joy and pride than seeing his students shine on stage.
