Kristen has dedicated the past 25+ years to both studying and teaching the art of dance. Kristen spent her youth and high school years training in many forms of dance including ballet, pointé, jazz, lyrical, tap, hip hop, musical theatre, modern, and cheer dance. While pursuing her college degree, Kristen was on both the Dance Team and Co-Ed Cheerleading Team at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. Upon transferring colleges; Kristen was a member of the world renowned Towson University Dance Team in Maryland. Over the past decade, Kristen has spent much of her time educating dancers of all ages, choreographing countless dances / productions, and judging numerous dance competitions and pageants. Kristen comes to Jazz Unlimited from a South Jersey studio where she spent the last 10 years teaching; in addition to being the Director of their Competition Team. Kristen’s choreography has been awarded many Judges Awards & Overall High Scores at Competitions. Kristen feels incredibly lucky to have turned her dance talent into a career. She has been blessed to work with so many incredible teachers and choreographers that influenced her life; she feels fortunate to be able to “pay it forward” to the next generation of dancers that share her passion.
Kristen graduated from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey with a B.S. in Business Marketing. Kristen is married to her best friend since the 6th grade; and together they have a 3 year old son, Ashton, who keeps them on their toes and fills their life with love! Kristen is super thankful to her Husband and Parents for always being so supportive of the dance world! Kristen is beyond thrilled to join the Jazz Unlimited family and can’t wait to share her knowledge and love for dance with all of her students this upcoming year!
