The story of Jazz Unlimited’s success may have never been written without the hard work and dedication of Fred Slobotkin. While Carryl Slobotkin is the public face of Jazz Unlimited, her husband Fred is her partner both in life and in business, and he plays an instrumental role in the dance studios operation and growth. Serving as Jazz Unlimited’s Financial Director, Fred does far more than keep track of the books. He can regularly be found behind the desk organizing a sea of Post-it notes, in the office working with the staff for answering phones, sitting at the computer and bringing the studios technology up to date, composing a new song to sing on Jazz Unlimited’s answering machine, or performing any miscellaneous tasks that arises at the studio with a smile on his face.
While Fred is the voice of Jazz Unlimited, at every recital, he is no stranger to working with young people on a daily basis. In fact, Fred has devoted his career to the use of southern New Jersey and spent 35 years as an educator in the Cherry Hill School System. Fred’s expertise in multiple areas is greatly appreciated by all at Jazz Unlimited, and Carryl offers her love and thanks to Fred for playing a key role in making the studio the best it can possibly be and ensuring that the art of dance is passed down to thousands of children.
