Fred Slobotkin

The story of Jazz Unlimited’s 50+ years of success includes the hard work and dedication of Fred Slobotkin. As a 35-year educator in the Cherry Hill school system, Fred applied his talent for connecting with students to the JU environment, helping to ensure dancers have positive experiences at the studio. Over the 50+ years, Fred’s financial and business acumen provided the framework for the successful day-to-day running of the JU studio. In earlier times, Fred performed multiple roles such as managing studio finances, overseeing studio upkeep and technology, and even placing announcements on the studio’s voicemail system for inclement weather notices. And let’s not forget his most popular role as the “voice of Jazz Unlimited”,announcing at every recital. Fred now provides advisory guidance in financial and operational areas, which is greatly appreciated. Carryl, Nikki, and the JU staff offer their love and thanks to Fred for playing a key role in making the studio the best it can possibly be and ensuring that the art of dance is passed down to thousands of dancers.
